This refillable coffee holder replaces the pod holder in your Philips* Senseo* pod coffee maker so you can use your own coffee. Free yourself from expensive Philips* Senseo* coffee pods and enjoy the benefits of your pod coffee maker using your favorite ground coffee. Pour coffee into the refillable holder, put on the compacting cover, and insert it in your pod coffee maker. Brew to the strength of your choice. Add more coffee for a stronger cup; reduce it for a milder brew.

As someone stated, the item shown is not the item sold. i purchased a Senseo, which I love, but the filters and "extras" don't fit! If you call the company who sold the items, they don't stand behind they're product blaming Senseo for not supporting their "third party" item. Waste of money and Amazon should be ashamed for advertising this item as long as they have (I bought mine last November!)
Customer Review: Excellent refillable coffee filter
This coffee filter, combined with the Senseo, can produce a truly outstanding and consistent cup of coffee on a regular basis. I have used this filter for over a year (more than 300 cups of coffee) and found it first rate, especially if you like a strong, full flavored cup of your own coffee brand. I used to be an espresso drinker but prefer a large cup in the morning and this does it. Couple of points: 1) Make sure and use as fine a grind as you can without slowing the Senseo water flow down to a drip - I use the espresso setting on a Breville Conical Burr grinder with no problem. 2) Use a good burr grinder - it makes a BIG difference - spending the extra money will be worth it. 3) For a good strong full cup of coffee fill the filter to the top rim and then tamp it down - I use a 1/3 cup measuring cup as a tamper which works fine - then press down the plastic cover. 4) Prime the Senseo by running it for about half a cup of water before inserting the filter and then reheat - ensures the water is at full temp. 4) You WILL have to manually control the 2 cup and OFF button on the Senseo to turn it on and off, since the amount of coffee produced is totally dependent on the grind setting, the amount of coffee, and the tamping. That's it! It's about the same trouble as using a standard espresso machine. And the Senseo is beautifully designed to be easy to clean. The Presto filter is also designed like a tank, and will last for a very long time.
